Mom & Me: Wilderness Survival

Each of these council-organized weekend events have been designed as a succession of camping experiences for you and your son. If you are new to Scouting or an inexperienced camper, these Parent and Son weekends are a perfect opportunity to explore all of our Cub Scout Resident Camps and see what’s in store for summer!

Mom & Me: Cost is $30.00 per person for a full-day experience at Gilbert Ranch with your son.

Meals: Food will be provided for the meals during your stay. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let the staff know before you arrive or bring your own food. Refrigerator accommodations will be available.

What to Bring:
The weather is unpredictable, so please be prepared. Wearing layers would be helpful, as the weather may shift throughout the day. Many of the activities will still be outside, so a heavy coat, gloves and a hat would also be useful. Wear hiking boots or something that will keep your feet warm and dry. Bring parts A and B of Medical Form.

What NOT to Bring:
Cascade Pacific Council is not liable for any lost or stolen items, so please leave valuables (laptops, iPods, MP3 players, jewelry) at home. Smoking is discouraged and may be done only in designated smoking areas. Alcohol is prohibited on all BSA properties.

Advancement Opportunities:
Each Cub Scout that attends will walk away from the weekend with a list of achievements that he earned. Each Parent & Son weekends will boast different achievements, as activities will vary with the theme.
